The Bukkit developers have just posted saying they're going to stop making Bukkit, and Bukkit is what makes our GriefPrevention and AutismChat plugins work.
This is fair enough, since Bukkit is technically not allowed under the Minecraft EULA, and Minecraft have started enforcing the EULA.
However, it sucks. It means we can't update the server (and probably even AutismChat or GriefPrevention) unless we find an alternative to Bukkit, and then find an alternative to GriefPrevention on this Bukkit alternative, and then commission someone to make an alternative to AutismChat on this Bukkit alternative too.
As far as I know nothing is changing right now. Our server hosts haven't indicated that they're going to stop offering Bukkit in the gamemods section, so everything will just be un-update-able until we've found a stable mod and alternative plugins that all work together. We're in the same boat as every other server that uses Bukkit and plugins based on it, and if no alternative pops up Minecraft as an online multiplayer phenomenon is going to change quite radically. The landscape is about to shift significantly and at the moment there's no way to predict the next step.
I'll keep you posted.
Edit: Apparently Mojang owns Bukkit, and Dinnerbone is working on it right now. Blimey, this is some confusing stuff. I'll keep keeping you posted.
